Week 11: Nov. 10 - 14

Well, my creative juices were struggling last week. I was sick and only worked 3 days and then was out of town for 4 days. But we are back on track. During the week last week my concepts class decided to come up with with their own method of reviewing for the eoct. Each student is going to take a unit and develop an activity to review or teach the unit to the class. They may do a powerpoint of key terms/ideas, they can do a skit, song, whatever it is that they want the class to do to get involved in the activity. Several of the students are developing games. The discussion was that they learned it better if they had the opportunity to teach it to others. I am looking forward to seeing what they do.

For the Trig classes we have them working on identifying trig graphs in the real world. They are to find a real world phenomenon that they can model with a sinusoidal function. They are to write up the problem, solve it and then present their problem to the class. More info on this to come.
